RIP Frank Dalton
I have been trying to write a blog post for today, but I keep stumbling over the same thought. Frank Dalton died today. I did not know him well, but he and his wife Cate had a huge impact on my life, and yours, although you may not know it, since CTCW wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for them.
Frank and Cate created Craftwise, the first pagan conference I ever went to, and after that I couldn’t imagine life without such a thing. When Frank got sick and they stopped doing Craftwise (although they did Craftwise in the Wood, over at Brushwood), Jane and I tried to convince someone else to do one, but when we couldn’t, decided to do one ourselves.
I still clearly remember Frank and Cate standing together, his arms wrapped around hers, opening a circle, loving energy flowing off of them, shining like a single flame.
Cate has asked for space to grieve, but I cannot let his passing go unmentioned in this community. Every one who has received new knowledge, a positive experience, a healing, or joy from Changing Times-Changing Worlds has done so because these two amazing people brushed our lives, spreading their light out into the world. I send deep thanks to both of them, now separated by the veil between our world and the next, in faith that the good they have done will come back to them both.
Hail the Traveler!
