Affinity Groups!

For our 2026 conference, CTCW is excited to premier a new form of social-learning: Affinity Group Discussions!

We’ve chosen topics via combined input from a variety of sources to assure that they represent the shared interest of our attendees.  In short, an Affinity Group is the place to bring your questions, your expertise, and experience to an informal round table discussion on the chosen topic.  Affinity Groups, by design, encourage peer-to-peer exploration and learning. Through the informal and relaxed format, you can sate your curiosity with one-on-one sharing.

The Affinity Group “hosts” have volunteered their time to help, guide, and moderate the group’s discussion in an area where they have experience and a level of expertise. However, the format of Affinity Groups is NOT that of a class nor lecture.

So, choose the Affinity Group of your liking: attend, share, and grow.

Sex, Magick and BDSM Affinity Group

Throughout the ages, sex magic and BDSM have been associated and practiced with a number of different occult systems. The so-called, Eros/Thanos impulse and “Role Play” are two of many enjoyable topics on the table for discussion. But we can also discuss various perspectives concerning auto-eroticism, partner(s), coven, and – of course – legal factors associated with this approach to one’s magickal practice. Please note that this Affinity Group is participant led and the monitor is there to help us stay on topic. This Affinity Group is only for 18+.

LGBTQIA2S+ Affinity Group

The relationship between the LGBTQIA2S+ community and magick is both historically rich and culturally significant. Across time and cultures, magick has often served as a symbolic and literal space for exploring identity, transformation, resistance, and belonging—core themes that resonate deeply with LGBTQIA2S+ experiences. This Affinity Group is a place to share and explore how your queer identity intersects with your magickal life. Affinity Groups are participant led;  the moderator is there to keep the group on topic.  This Affinity Group is only for 18+ please.

Neuro-Diverse Affinity Group

Are you neuro-divergent, neurospicy, or some other flavor of diverse brain chemistry?
If you are, then please join us for a low-pressure social opportunity dedicated to discussing our joys, challenges, 
and just about anything else that strikes your fancy related to our neuro-diverse life experience.
Be surrounded by those who “get” you and with whom you can drop the “mask” if you choose.  All ages are welcome!

Paranormal Affinity Group

For the purpose of this group, the paranormal is defined by phenomena which cannot be explained by current science.   Many of us have studied metaphysical teachings and the occult, and have had supernatural experiences. The intent of this affinity group is to have a safe space where we can share such teachings and experiences without judgement. All are welcome!
