Green Witchery Rooted in Russian Tradition
Rooted in Russia’s lush traditions, I’ve practiced green witchery since childhood, learning from my wise grandmother’s ancient wisdom. Her handwritten notes, filled with ‘zagovors’ (a form of spell), guide me still. Growing up, herbs and plants were woven into everyday life, often disguised as simple home remedies. Gray is a member of the Fellowship of the Ancient White Stag, a coven in the Assembly of the Sacred Wheel syncretic Wiccan tradition, a former panelist at Sacred Space, the author of a couple of zines, and a total nerd for all things language and etymology. helping fellow trans and disabled people find spiritual practices that inspire these parts of
themselves to not just exist, but thrive. In the spirit of Lord Rama’s squirrel, he always hopes

Jane Sibley

Jane T. Sibley, one of the founders of CTCW, also created the New England Conference on
Mithraic Studies (Mithracon). Jane and Tchipakkan met in the Society for Creative
Anachronism, a medieval recreation group, where Jane’s persona is that of a Norsewoman from
the pre-Viking period, Arwen Evaine ferch Rhys ap Gwynedd. That was where Jane
created Auntie Arwen’s Spices, where she sells herbs and herb mixes both culinary and healing.
If you can’t wait until the conference check them out on-line.
In the SCA she worked with Lois Fitzpatrick in the Soothsayer’s Guild,
being awarded the Order of the Laurel for historical divination. Among
the techniques she shared in this medievalist group were reading
runes, casting seeds, and her work in utiseta (oracular seidhr).
She was taught a lot of this by her Norwegian grandmother, and, being
an historian, is hesitant to claim that these techniques go back
farther than can be documented; however, these are traditional
techniques, and really work. Jane passes them along outside the family
because they shouldn’t be lost, and none of the next generation has
shown interest. Among these techniques is the very intense Norseworking healing ritual, which
she’s done for a few years. (If you come, be sure you know how to ground your energy!)
Jane earned her doctoral degree in History/Comparative Religion, focusing on the Indo-European
thunder/lightning god from antiquity into modern times. As with much of CTCW, she combines
mind and spirit, history and science (She has even worked with an electron
microscope!), healing, divination, myth and humor, each informing our understanding of the
others.
Her books are: “Norse Mythology…According to Uncle Einar”, “The Hammer of the Smith”,
“The Divine Thunderbolt: Missile of the Gods”, “A Different Dragon” and The Way of the
Wise (Traditional Norse Folk Medicine and Magic.)
Classes this year:
- Thunder and Lightning in Indo-European iconography, folklore, and religion

Devanna Sira

Devanna Sira is a priestess, artist, researcher, and teacher whose passion is weaving embodied magical practice with historical inquiry, focusing on goddess devotion, oracular traditions, and a lifelong study of folklore, divination, and spiritual mysteries. Called to the path from a young age, she began exploring Tarot in her teens, leading to a brief flirtation with Wicca before undertaking three decades of solitary study and practice. She is the creator of two self-published divination decks, The Incidental Tarot (2012) and A Curious Oracle (2015), reflecting her love of esoteric art, symbolic language, and oracular systems.
She was formally trained in the Mt. Shasta Goddess Temple and ordained as a Skydancer Priestess in 2019, where her primary devotional work with Hekate was established. Since 2020, she helped develop and co-teaches Via Carmen Pythia, a two-year Sibyl Training Program, drawing on the traditions of the ancient sibyls, goddesses of prophecy and magic, and the oracular centers of the Mediterranean world while cultivating a multifaceted modern divinatory practice. Her priestess path is also shaped by dedicated relationships with the indigenous goddesses of her ancestral Armenian homeland, alongside a broader devotional constellation spanning the eastern Mediterranean, the Balkans, and northern Europe.
Devanna is the founder of the Crossroads Goddess Temple, an online sanctuary devoted to these intersecting traditions, launched in early 2026. Honoring Hekate as the sovereign goddess of the crossroads, the Temple offers devotional circles, spiritual enrichment courses, and a dedicated magical community. Ariel Sirocco

Ariel Malachi Sirocco is an Integrative Hermeticist following the Corpus Hermetica and related sacred writings; as such, he is a hardcore Panentheist. He teaches ancient Hermetic history and traditions and lectures regularly at several esoteric conventions in the American Northeast and at private gatherings. Ariel has an academic background in biology (Queens College, NY) and 15 years with the American Museum of Natural History. To this day, he weaves his scientific knowledge with his ritual.
Ariel has been a practicing occultist since 1983 and was initiated as a High Priest of the Minoan Temple, Inc. of New York in 1998. During this time, he realized that the scientific and the esoteric were two sides of a coin named “Ritual” and thus began his true pursuit and calling: Hermetics.
He moved to Connecticut for several years where he started Coven Quiddity (2006). It grew into the Akashic Temple (2009) and ran monthly meetings and a few major events each year. In 2007, he joined the Masonic fraternity, and his attentiveness quickly raised him through the ranks reaching Master Mason in 2008. In 2012, he became a 32nd-Degree Mason of the Scottish Rite of Freemasonry and was appointed Master of Ceremonies (2012-2013) of the Scottish Rite, Valley of Bridgeport, CT. In 2015, Ariel was granted an encampment charter from the Ordo Templi Astartes (OTA) for the New York City area. In 2017, Ariel became the Worshipful Master of Union Lodge No.5 in Stamford, CT.
During this time, his passion for Hermetics led him to reach out across the United States and abroad to Amsterdam, NE in search of Elders. In Amsterdam, he reached out to and subsequently visited the world-renowned University of Hermetics (University of Amsterdam). To this day, he keeps academic, fraternal, and magical ties with like-minded occultists in Amsterdam and the UK.
For the past several years, Ariel has taught at noted conferences such as Sacred Space and Changing Times, Changing Worlds. During the social and medical disaster that was 2020, he married. After dedicating some time (namely a few years) to his new home world of marital bliss, he and his bride (Sarah Sirocco) are developing a unified practice of Hermetic and Hekatean ritual. However, after years of being a traveling teachers, they are focusing on their beloved hometown of New York City.
It is Ariel’s belief that this “Expanding Age of Esotericism” deserves academic exploration without sacrosanct or circular defenses. If this does not happen, the entire family of “pagan and esoteric traditions” will fall into disrepair, ill repute, and eventually be dismissed as merely fanciful.

Velahtar

Velahtar grew up on a horse farm just outside Elk Neck State Park and spent most of
his childhood wandering through the woods and exploring nature. The inherent balance
of nature is what inspired him to seek out a spirituality that matched his observations of
the wilderness. In 1996 he began exploring the Wiccan religion as a solitary
practitioner. Velahtar is currently initiated and an active participant in Light Havens’
Magickal Lodge. He was a 2nd degree acting high-priest in the Assembly of the Sacred
Wheel and coven member of Fellowship of the Ancient White Stag coven in the Silver
Spring, MD area. Velahtar graduated from the inaugural class of Gryphons Grove
School of Shamanism (located in Silver Spring, MD) in 2012. Velahtar has been a board
member of the Sacred Space Foundation, a Mid-Atlantic esoteric conference, for over
15 years. Velahtar’s extensive education in the sciences of math, physics, and animal
husbandry continually inform and expand his innate spirituality. His experience leads
him to no longer see a line between spirit and science; they are intertwined. Velahtar’s
specialization in energy work and creation of sacred space is from combining numerous
geometric and physical theories with energy/chi work. This work is useful during his
shamanic work as the Guardian/Ward for Gryphons Grove. Velahtar also uses these
skills professionally when working on house clearings\warding.

- The G.U.T. of the Unseen: Merging Material Laws with Energetic Work
White Wolf

White Wolf is a druid, sound healer, and researcher of the megalithic stone
chambers of the Northeastern United States. For many years she has worked
directly with these ancient sites through field study, ritual practice, and sustained
relationship with the land, exploring their cultural history as well as their acoustic,
geological, and energetic properties.
Her work focuses on the archaeo-acoustics of the chambers—the way sound,
vibration, and resonance behave within these stone structures—and how these
phenomena intersect with principles such as piezoelectricity, natural frequency,
and astronomical alignment. Through both scientific inquiry and embodied
practice, she explores the possibility that these sites were not merely utilitarian
structures, but part of a sophisticated ceremonial landscape designed to interact
with sound, energy, and the rhythms of the Earth.
Known as the “Keeper of the Stone Chambers,” White Wolf approaches these
places not simply as archaeological curiosities, but as living cultural sites that hold
memory, meaning, and potential for healing connection with the land. Her work
bridges research and direct experience, inviting others to listen more deeply to the
landscapes they inhabit and to consider how ancient technologies of stone, sound,
and earth may still have something to teach us today.
