Class Line-up for The Virtual Deep Dive Into Divination:
Using Crystals in Your Divination Practice
Presenter: Maryalyce
Time: 9:30 – 10:30 AM Eastern
Do you know that you can use crystals as their own Divination system? Referring to the crystals’ metaphysical properties as well as their position in a spread will tell you quite a bit about yourself or your querent.
In this class, we will discuss how to use crystals as a divinatory tool, how to choose your starter set, how to properly care for, cleanse, and recharge them. We will also discuss organic placement vs using a spread similar to Oracle or Tarot cards, and also how to use a pendulum within the reading.
History of Divination
Presenter: Raven Kaldera
Time: 10:45 – 11:45 AM Eastern
Throughout history, people have used everything from sneezing to burning turtle shells to raindrops on flour to the way mice gnawed cheese to predict the future and uncover the hidden. This class will talk about many of the strange and obscure forms of divination used in the past, as well as some new methods that modern Pagans have come up with in a pinch. Maybe you’ll come away with new techniques to pull out of your pocket!
Reading Lenormand with the Fool’s Dog
Presenter: Sara Mastros (recorded)
Time: 12:30 – 1:30 PM Eastern
[Note: Sara regrets that due to technical issues beyond her control she doesn’t have access to robust enough internet for live Zoom. She is providing us with a pre-recorded video rather than canceling her appearance.]
The Fool’s Dog is a market leading developer of digital tarot apps, but did you know we also make other kinds of cartomancy apps? In today’s very short “show and tell” session, I’ll introduce Lenormand, a non-tarot system of fortune telling with cards that’s easy to learn, but deep enough to spend a lifetime with. People who attend live will be told how to get a code to download a free app.”

Unlock your intuition with the forgotten, the funky, and the fabulously weird.
Not all divination comes in neat 78-card packages. In this fun and surprising class, we’ll work with unusual decks—yes, those quirky oracles, vintage finds, affirmation cards, art decks, and even homemade pulls you forgot you owned—to spark real insight and channel messages from Spirit.
This is the class for:
Intuitives with a growing collection of “weird decks”
Beginners who want to try card reading without rules
Readers ready to bust out of traditional tarot spreads and have some fun
Anyone curious how even the oddest card can unlock truth
We’ll cover:
How to read ANY card intuitively—even without a guidebook
How to cleanse and “wake up” neglected decks
Tips for mixing systems (tarot + oracle + affirmations = yes!)
3 quick layouts that work with ANY deck
A live group reading using a random “wild card” deck (bring one you love or hate!)
Bring:
Your weirdest deck, your open heart, and maybe even your business card deck—we’re going rogue and finding Spirit in the unexpected.
Divination Without Tarot
Presenter: Gretchen Schork
Time: 7:45 – 8:45 PM Eastern
Discussion of how and why of divination will begin the session, leading into techniques that help both the beginner and the untrained psychic. This will give you a firm handle on the creative usefulness of divination, and basic skills to allow use of any divination system you run across.
Divination Improv and Open Forum/Skillshare
Presenter: Open Forum
Time: 9 PM Eastern until attendees’ interest flags
Join us for an interactive discussion to wind up the day. The Divination Improv portion is a crazy idea we had to have someone propose a selection of items from every day life, and those in attendance will try to come up with a method for using them for divination. Suggestions are welcome from the attendees, but please try to keep them reasonably common – examples might include – hand tools or the contents of your silverware drawer, or office supplies.
After we tire of that, there will be open chat where people can ask questions and share experiences.
