Hekate at the Crossroads (ritual)
In honor of the goddess Hekate, we shall meet at the Crossroads, engaging in a ritual that combines live music, sacred dance, and embodied movement to allow us to see where we have come from, where we are at, and where we are going- individually and as a community. Tempest and Nathaniel Johnstone will present an ecstatic rite that fuses together elements of Modern Traditional Witchcraft, Middle Eastern and Mediterranean Dance, Inspired World Music, and Ritual Performance. You will be welcomed to participate at your own level of comfort, no dance or ritual experience necessary.
Choreomancy: Oracles in Motion (movement class)
We practice divination so we can tap into the rhythms of the universe, deciphering its patterns and mysterious dances in relation to our lives. But we can use much more than our eyes and hands to understand its secrets. Weaving the powers of symbols, math, and movement, learn how to use your favorite deck or tool to unlock simple, accessible motions that will enhance your relationship with the cards and the world. Open to all levels and bodies.
Tempest Ruins the Tarot (lecture)
Experience the Tarot in ways you’ve never seen before in this irreverent yet informative romp through the Major & Minor Arcana. It’ll not only change how you look at the Tarot (that you will likely be unable to forever unsee)“ this class will also build your divination skills and enhance your relationship with the cards. Blasphemy is included.

Meeting the Morrigan (lecture)
The Morrigan is a powerful and mysterious figure, often labelled a Dark Goddess, who intrigues and sometimes frightens people. Here we will cut through the modern misinformation and confusion to learn about this ancient Irish goddess of war and the related goddesses who bear her name as a title. We will also cover some ways you can nurture a relationship with the Morrigan in your own life., and why you might want to.
The Fairy Courts (lecture)
The concept of the fairy courts – groups of fairy beings united by a common philosophy – has become more popular in modern paganism across the last 20 years. Here we will explore the roots of this idea, how it has evolved in the 21st century, and how it can be worked with by practitioners.
The Fairy as Familiar Spirit (lecture)
The familiar spirit is gaining popularity across witchcraft practices but many people are still unaware of the history of fairies filling this role. Here we will explore the history of witches and fairies working together, the unique place that fairies have as a witch’s familiar, and ways that modern witches may engage with these spirits. We will end with a guided meditation to offer people a chance to meet a potential fairy guide or ally.
Dr. Alexander Cummins
Experiments in Geomantic Spellcraft & Spiritwork (lecture)
Geomancy is not only a potent means of divination but also finds its way into operative sorcery and spell-craft. Sigils of the sixteen Figures are often inscribed onto Solomonic talismans. As with many other forms of divination, the signs that predict fate can also be manipulated by the practitioner to influence our fortunes and sway things in our favour.
In this class, professional geomancer, consultant sorcerer, and historian of magic Dr Alexander Cummins will take us on an introductory tour of how geomancy can help us work our spells – from high ceremonial theurgy to the conjuration of angels, devils, and other spirits, and from talisman-making to various folk magical formulae and techniques.
Whether you are a newbie witch or magician, or an experienced diviner, this class promises to arm you with approaches to working geomantic spell-craft informed and honed by Dr Cummins’ years of both personal and professional practice, experimentation, and spiritwork.
Cunning As A Fox: On Traditional British Service Magic (lecture)
Wise Ones. Pellars. Sorcerers. Doctors. There are a huge variety of regional names for cunning-folk: magical practitioners and service magicians in the pre-modern British Isles. Such professional practitioners made their trade in the practical magics of divining, unbewitching, treasure-hunting, spirit conjuration, ghost-laying, and the making of charms, talismanic objects, and magical medicines for their clients.
This class is an exploration and celebration of cunning-craft, not simply as a cabinet of historical curiosities, but a schoolhouse of transatlantic folk magicians to learn from, and a storehouse of Old World techniques to compare and contrast the folk magics of the pre-modern British Isles with those of the Americas.
Such study is hoped to build better understandings of our own practices, and to see the intersectional commonalities of different but related historical traditions, struggles, and magical solutions.
On Faustian Grimoires (lecture)
The corpus of Germanic grimoires attributed to the patronage of the infamous Faust were popularly circulated from the sixteenth century onwards. They instruct on the ritual protocols for calling and trafficking with a range of devilish and elemental spirits; from circle casting and tool consecration to the spoken acts of conjuration, deployments of seals and sigils, and other such intricacies of these nigromantic arts.
In this class, we will examine a host of handbooks of such Faustian grimoiric magic, contrasting their rather distinct elements as well as comparing the recognizable qualities of this milieu of demonology. We will consider the various protocols, shared ethos, and unique methodologies of these Germanic forms of goetic sorcery and spirit conjuration.
Along the way we will contextualise these works alongside other goetic European grimoires: from the Grand Grimoire and Grimorium Verum to the collections of lore and craft attributed to the sorcerer saint Cyprian.

Teaching Wicca in Changing Times (roundtable discussion)
Oriented towards the coven leader but open to all, how do we approach the whole idea of teaching Wicca in the 21st century? With abundant availability of both accurate and wildly inaccurate information on social media and elsewhere, with changing gender and social roles, with a divided society, what changes and does not change about how we reach and teach seekers?
This discussion presents some of the key issues we currently face, sharing some interesting data on societal changes that affect us.
The Way of Four ( (lecture)
What are the four elements? Where do they come from and why are they so important to occultists? What part do they play in our personalities and day to day lives? This talk is lively, with lots of questions and answers as we each discover the parts of ourselves that are earthy, fiery, watery and airy. This talk is based on material in my book The Way of Four.

Hearth & Fire Spirits: Guardians of Households, and Protectors of Bloodlines (lecture)
Many cultures and spiritual traditions recognize that there are spirits who dwell in the households that can both help and harm the people who live there, such as Brownies, Domovoy, and Tomte. They may also be hearth gods that bless the home, like Brigid, Hestia, and Frigga. Many Asian cultures also worship a “kitchen god”. While household spirits may not have a fiery aspect, many hearth-based gods/spirits are connected to fire. Within North Asian shamanic traditions, every family has a household fire spirit, which can bless and protect the household family.
In this class, we will explore the different household and hearth spirits/gods. For those who are not tied to specific cultural deities & spirits, we will also explore the generic household fire spirit, which anyone can work with even if they are not North Asian, as well as how to employ a fire ceremony to strengthen your own household.
Prophecies from the Silk Road to the Siberian Taiga: North Asian Divination of Beads, Bones, Coins, & Stones ( (lecture)
The grasslands of Mongolia, the steppes of Central Asia, the deserts of the Gobi, and the frozen forests of Siberia. The Shamanic and Buddhist cultures in these harsh environments have cultivated powerful yet practical, and deeply nuanced divination methods that have allowed these tribes to not only survive, but to thrive as well. In this class, we will explore several of these methods, some of which are practical enough if you need quick but powerful divination “on-the-go”, as well as some North Asian tips that can benefit your other divination practices. If we have time, we will perform a complex Mongolian 41-stone divination for the entire class.
Matthew Venus
Ensouling the Effigy: Image Magic, Poppetry, and Enspirited Objects (lecture)
The creation of humanoid figures is an act with origins which predates recorded history. Such work aligns us with the art of the gods as conjured by humanity’s earliest imagining, and creates both a conduit for power and a locus for spirit. In this discussion we will explore the use of the dolls and effigies in various magical traditions throughout history, as well as examine practical ways that we may meaningfully incorporate them as enspirited objects into a contemporary practice based upon sound tradition.
Beyond the often misunderstood “voodoo dolls”, we will discuss the use of poppets for a diversity of magic purpose. We will also explore the deeper realms of this work including techniques and approaches towards employing effigies as spirit vessels and devotional objects. Finally, we will conclude by discussing the various materials and methods we might use for the constructing effigies, as well as methods for consecrating and enspiriting them for magical purposes.
A Hidden Vessel: Witch Bottles and Container Magic Beyond the Basics (lecture)
Throughout history and across cultures bottles, boxes, and other ritual vessels have served as protective amulets, batteries of power, spirit houses and spirit traps. In this class we examine both historical and practical approaches to such work including:
Traditional Witch Bottles – Their history, forms, and necessary ingredients. Including why/when they are used, and methods of making and deploying a witch bottle.
Bottle Spells – How to craft them for a variety of purposes, how to empower them, and what to do with them. Including workings for protection, prosperity, crossing, and magical power.
Spirit Bottles & Boxes – The crafting and use of vessels as spirit houses and spirit traps.

Navigating the Second Act – From Dissolutions to New Beginnings – Astrological Mid-Life Crises and the Second Saturn Return (lecture/interactive)
While a first Saturn return focuses on establishing our own path, a second Saturn return asks us to re-evaluate where we are in midlife and how we can assist others. We will examine and compare the three astrological mid-life crises (Uranus opposed Uranus; Neptune Square Neptune; and Pluto Square Pluto) and their impact upon the subsequent second Saturn return.
In 2026, Saturn’s formal transit through Pisces concluded its focus on loss, mental health, boundaries, and the need to address our spiritual and emotional realignment. Saturn’s return to Aries through April 2028 calls upon us to play a long game, deal with burnout and anger issues, and take responsibility for all aspects of our lives.
This session explores the three astrological mid-life crises occurring between Saturn’s first and second return, their effect on a full embrace of Saturn’s second act in life for those born under Pisces(1964-1967), Aries (1967-1969) , Taurus (1969-1975) and Gemini (1975-1977)
Starting a New Cycle: Vision in the Year 2026 and 2027 (lecture/interactive)
The year 2026 is special as it is the start of a new cycle of the nine – a year where all can be yours if you are willing to take a chance. While the sole obstacles are of our own making, this year follows a nine-year chaotic period of endings, instability, and uncertainty. Foundations of this year rest in cooperation, community awareness, and focused goal setting for long-term successes and accomplishments.
Using the trifecta of numerology, tarot, and astrology, along with guided visualization as we enter and exit sacred space, this class covers energies present in the year 2026 and how to utilize them for best results for this year and beyond. If possible, bring your excursion chart as we look at how 2026 turned out and how to best prepare for 2027.

Candlelit Labyrinth Walk (movement)
Labyrinth walking is an ancient practice found in many spiritual traditions, used for contemplation, prayer, and inner reflection. As you step onto the winding path, you are invited to slow down, quiet your mind, and gently focus on a question, intention, or prayer. Each turn of the path becomes part of a meditative journey inward.
Unlike still meditation, labyrinth walking is an active form of meditation that engages both body and spirit. With each step, movement becomes mindfulness, helping create space for calm, clarity, and connection.
For those with mobility limitations or who prefer not to walk the labyrinth, finger labyrinths will be available. By tracing the path with a fingertip, participants can experience the same quiet, reflective practice in a seated or accessible way.
Many people find labyrinth meditation to be a deeply meaningful and restorative spiritual experience
Walking the Mythic Labyrinth: Stories, Symbols, and Sacred Pathways (lecture)
For millennia, labyrinths have appeared in the myths and sacred stories of cultures across the world from the winding passages of Crete that held the Minotaur, to the spiraling journey of Ariadne’s thread, to ancient patterns carved into stone and earth as symbols of initiation, transformation, and return. In this workshop, we will explore the mythology of the labyrinth as both story and symbol, uncovering its roles as guardian, threshold, and guide. Participants will learn how these myths mirror the human journey of descent and emergence, challenge and renewal, and how the labyrinth continues to serve as a living metaphor for spiritual practice today.

Sacred Profanity — Cultivating Magick in Everyday Spaces (lecture)
Pulling from Èmile Durkheim’s philosophical ideas of the Sacred and Profane “dichotomy”, this class aims to help us blend our mundane and magickal selves so that we can embody the philosophies of our magick in our daily lives. We’ll explore how decolonial ways of knowing and being can enhance our rituals, shadow work, and day-to-day activities. By embodying magick in the most “everyday” aspects of our lives, we’ll be able to grow and foster the ideals and morals we want to live by, cultivating the best versions of ourselves and our World.
The Magick of (Un)Learning — Decolonize Me Baby! (roundtable discussion)
In order to enhance the potency of our spell work we ought to look at the ways in which colonization and patriarchy have influenced our craft. This will help us understand what elements of our workings stem from colonized roots and how we can rectify them and restore balance to our Workings. By being mindful of our roots, we will gain greater clarity in our spells and understand ourselves and our motivations better, leading to more intentional outcomes.

Interfaith with the Dead (lecture)
Whether following a tradition or building a practice from scratch, most polytheists and Neopagans find a common theme when honoring their Ancestors: there sure are a lot of Christians here. Sometimes this isn’t a problem at all, and other times the Dead are just as unhappy about being interfaith now as they would have been in life. We’ll talk about ways this can play out and practical methods — magical, devotional, and otherwise — for bridging what can sometimes be a difficult divide.

Mask Magic: The Ritual Art of the Second Face (ritual)
Masks have always been a part of ritual and religion, going back to the era of the hunters clad in animal-skins who danced around prehistoric fires. This ritual will involve a number of sacred archetypal masks, and volunteers who are willing to blindly choose and don one of them, and let the magical mask inspire and lead them for a few minutes before yielding the center stage to another sacred archetype. Non-volunteers forming an audience of witnesses are also welcome! We will have masks for 12 volunteers during the rite. (If you arrive late and miss the explanation, you are audience-only.) Come and see what blessings the Gods will bring with the Sacred Faces!

Folklore, Witches, and Fairies at Prehistoric Sites (lecture)
The folklore surrounding barrows, stone circles and other prehistoric sites in Britains suggests that local inhabitants experienced them as uncanny places where dangerous and powerful beings might be encountered, beliefs recorded by sixteenth-century antiquarians through the folklorists of the nineteenth century, and which are occasionally reflected in testimony from early modern witch trials. In some cases, prehistoric sites were linked to historically attested witches, though the connection itself is often folkloric. Though relatively rare in English folklore, fairies were associated with prehistoric sites in Celtic-speaking areas, particularly Ireland, Gaelic Scotland, and Brittany. Folktales describe a variety of encounters with fairies and other supernatural beings at barrows, megaliths, and ancient forts; though dangerous, fairies can also be kind and reward those who help them. Reports of strange experiences and encounters continue in the present day.

United Through Magic Ritual (ritual)
The CTCW event brings many groups and individuals together to share magic and related topics across affiliations and practices. By presenting a community-wide ritual, the cooperative atmosphere is made more concrete. This ritual is designed to focus on such unity.
There are two main components to the ritual.
Space is created in a non-sectarian format, with emphasis on 4 or 5 sub-groups. These are chosen for their diversity to represent specific instances of our different approaches.
A magical action component allows attendees to charge water together using skills that are common to most magical traditions, and easy to learn for those unfamiliar with the method. This water is then made available for all to share, and to take home a sample (if desired). The water is shared among all attendees, and can then be made available for the rest of the event.
The space is created by five separate traditions who are part of the overall event. This begins with a procession around the conference
Planetary Numeration and Related Sigils (lecture)
Numbers are powerful ways to symbolize magical forces. By assigning them to the alphabet, we can customize words, sigils, and N/ames of Power to reflect the planetary forces encountered in magic.

Magickal Working Drawings on Acetate (hands-on workshop/Make-and-take)
Inspired by Emily Carding’s Transparent Tarot, this hands-on workshop explores the creation of layered talismanic artwork using acetate, permanent markers, and divinatory imagery. Through a series of tarot and oracle card pulls, participants will weave symbols, messages, and intentions into a single unified composition aligned with a personal goal or magickal working.
Sarah will guide participants through the creative process while encouraging discussion around symbolism, interpretation, and magickal intention. Participants are welcome to bring favorite tarot or oracle decks, though decks and all art supplies will be provided.
No experience with art or divination is necessary—all skill levels are welcome.

Thunder and Lightning in Indo-European iconography, folklore, and religion (lecture)
Wherever there are thunderstorms, folks have believed that some sky deity caused them. The sky bull bellowed (thunder) and lightning struck here and there. We will explore iconography, folklore, and religion involving thunder and lightning from some of the earliest records into relatively modern days. Today, we know meteorology and what causes thunderstorms, but back in the day, it was fervently believed that this was a supernatural phenomenon. In Etruria, the Libri Fulgurales (lightning books) described how (well-paid) diviners interpreted lightning strikes from origin to strike point, according to some 16 parts of the compass, and which deities were involved. Zeus Labrandeus was “lightning in person”, issuing either a warning or simply a comment. We see lightning and thunder all over the place in religion, amulets, warding spells, and more.
Norseworking (ritual)
This is a high-energy circle in the Norse tradition, in which we will do healing, fertility magic, charging of major tools, experimental magic, distance work, and whatever else needs doing. Once the ritual begins, the room will be sealed and guarded, so please come on time, fed and rested, and pottied. Due to the high energies we will be working with, anyone (no matter their expertise) who has never been to a Norseworking before must be present for a brief grounding excercise, just before the circle is set. It is also recommended that babies and children do not attend; due to the high energy levels.

Meeting the Golden Mother (lecture)
Ancient Armenia once stretched from central Anatolia to the north Caucasus, Syria and Mesopotamia, where it was a crossroads of culture, religion, and trade amongst rival empires. The Armenian highlands had a unique indigenous spiritual pantheon, as well as adopting and syncretizing deities from its neighboring lands and tribes. The goddess Anahit, known as the Golden Mother, rose to prominence during the era of the Achaemenid Empire and its Zoroastrian influence. This lecture traces Anahit’s role in the spiritual landscape of ancient Armenia from the Urartian period to the adoption of Christianity as the state religion in 301 CE, and how she became the beloved mother-goddess of the Armenian people—guardian of fertility, healing, and wisdom—a powerful icon of Armenian identity even within today’s devoutly orthodox Christian culture. I also explore ways to connect with her personally and how to honor her in a contemporary pagan practice.
The Wolf and Serpent: Apollo, Dionysos, and the Divine Lineage of Delphi (lecture)
This lecture explores the hidden duality of Delphi, where Apollo, the Lord of Light, and his half-brother Dionysos, god of ecstasy and fertile darkness, converge within the ancient oracular sanctuary. In the winter months, Apollo retreats to the distant Hyperborea, while Dionysos takes residence with his serpentine cult, the Thyiades. Together, the brothers reveal Delphi as a living interplay of light and shadow, order and wilderness, sun and soil—a sanctuary where the nourishing powers of life and death, radiance and darkness, are inseparably entwined.

Hermes Says What? (lecture)
“The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. The Cabot Kent Hermetic Temple. The ACME Hermetics Company. Or, Alchemy. The Emerald Tablet, and The Philosopher’s Stone.”
In today’s pagan-occult landscape, it seems that many esoteric traditions are, in one form or another, Hermetic. And, at the center of this “thrice great” avalanche is the enigmatic figure of Hermes, him – or, itself. But who or what is Hermes beyond Bulfinch’s mythology? Could Hermes have undiscovered origins – perhaps a backstory rooted in something other than the “acid trip” that is Greek myth? What power or philosophy lies at the heart of this enigmatic character that would spawn so many followers within different traditions? Come discover the interconnectedness, ancient and enduring gem of occult wisdom that is Hermes.

Arete in the Modern World – How Greek Ideals of Excellence and Forms Facilitate Positive Change (lecture)
Arete. Eudaimonia. Hubris. If these words sound vaguely familiar, you’re not alone. The Ancient Greeks had a firm moral code that they lived by and these “Keys” to integrity are just as relevant today, if not more so, in the modern morass in which we find ourselves. The Ideals of Classical Philosophers of Ancient Greece can be undeniably applied and accessed in our modern world to aid in the personal development of the dedicated practitioner. Integrate the concepts of “The Golden Mean”, “Xenia” and “Logos”, along with the Delphic Maximums and begin to create your own Arete (excellence).

The Stone Chambers: Resonance, Healing, and Folklore in the Megalithic Landscape (lecture)
The Northeastern United States contains hundreds of mysterious stone chambers whose origins remain debated. In this 90-minute presentation, druid and sound healer White Wolf explores these sites through the lens of archaeo-acoustics, landscape study, and folklore. Drawing on years of research and direct work with the chambers, she examines how sound, resonance, and geological properties such as piezoelectricity may reveal new insights into the function of these enigmatic structures and their role in ancient ceremonial landscapes.
Listening to the Land: A Stone and Sound Meditation (meditation)
This guided meditation invites participants to slow down, ground themselves, and attune to the subtle rhythms of the living landscape.
Drawing from druidic practice and sound healing traditions, White Wolf leads participants through a gentle process of breath, voice, and vibration designed to reconnect the body with the deeper resonance of the Earth. Using singing bowls, rhythmic drumming, and guided visualization, the meditation explores how sound and stillness can open pathways of awareness within both the body and the land itself.
Participants will be invited to listen inwardly and outwardly—to the subtle vibration of stone, the memory held in place, and the quiet intelligence of the natural world. The practice is accessible to all and requires no prior experience.
This meditation offers a moment of grounding and reconnection in a rapidly changing world, reminding us that the land beneath our feet still holds wisdom for those willing to listen.
