Inner Stillness

When the world around you is chaos, it’s more important than usual to schedule a time for inner stillness.
In the midst of huge changes that are outside our control, daily meditation, a time to find our inner self becomes not simply helpful, but necessary. There are many ways to meditate, and each person should find the one that works for them. If you haven’t done that yet, this may be the time to start. Even five minutes a day helps.
While we have quiet in our center, it helps us maintain our balance when the world around us is throwing something new at us every day. If nothing else, when you sit down at your computer, while it boots up, take a deep calming breath, close your eyes and find a positive intent for what you are about to accomplish. Remember that you are directing your actions with your intent. Sure, you get distracted sometimes, but that’s OK, it’s all part of the learning experience. Roll your head, relax your shoulders, take another deep breath. For some reason, whether you chose it between incarnations, or you were sent here by a higher power on a mission, you are here to make the world a better place. As crazy as it seems right now, you are where you were meant to be. You’ve got this. Take another deep breath and let it out, and open your eyes, … get on with what you sat down to the computer to do. See? Quick but it helps.
Maybe another time in your day you could take a bit longer, but even a few breaths will help.

Remember that in many creation myths everything starts with chaos, and when it begins to separate into components, dark and light, cold and fire, … then creation begins. Chaos gives us the raw materials to create anything. We simply need to find our peace within it, and select from it the building blocks of what we want to create.
You recognize the possibilities in our infinite Multiverse. You know that you are more than just a body made of cells, you are that AND an energy being that extends into many dimensions. Your being here makes the world a better place. You have already sent out many bits of your own energy that are helping others find the world a better place. You have taken into yourself bits of wisdom and love from others. (You have probably also taken in some crud for when people made mistakes and left it behind, shake them off, or scrape them off, and let them go. If you step in the cow patty, you don’t need to carry it around forever, it’s not part of you. There are ways to clean off emotional or psychic poop just as there are ways to clean physical animal by-products. You probably already know several, just remember to use them. (if you don’t get the laundry out of the hamper and cycle it through the wash, you’ll end up with nothing to wear!) Sweeping the floor, doing the dishes and laundry may not be much fun, but you work them into your life because ultimately, they make it better. Same thing with spiritual hygiene.

Another thing you can do is to stop at the CTCW facebook group and post or respond about things that your other friends may not talk about: energy healing and herbalism, divination, magickal techniques, spiritual practices. It’s nice to have folks to talk to who don’t question a more holistic perspective. It’s easier to relax when you know that others have had similar experiences. We want to hear your ideas, your dreams, your perspective, even if when you were a kid you were taught to keep that sort of thing to yourself. Relax. Chill. Together we’ve got this. You’ve got this.
