On CTCW’s Otherworldly December 1st, 2021 at 8 P.M. EST, we will be talking about Dowsing. Last week Starwolf mentioned he always carries a pendulum, and I do too. So I thought we’d revisit this form as it’s a great tool.

Dowsing is one of the most accessible forms of divination out there.  There are many forms of dowsing- the most commonly known is using the Y rod- y shaped wooden wand, commonly used to locate water. Other dowsing tools are the pendulum, which is smaller and more convenient to carry, also L rods, bobbers, and we’ll also cover deviceless dowsing, with no tools at all. Dowsing is great for answering “yes-no” questions, or finding unseen things, like energy, even far away (using a map). Some dowsers use charts to find more specific answers. We’ll talk a bit about theories about why dowsing works, but mostly talk about how to do it, and the many things it can do.
