Speaker on New Normal: Catherine Kane

Posted on

cathy auraOn November 4th, Catherine Kane will be appearing from 8-9 pm on the New Normal with Tchipakkan on http://liveparanormal.com/

We’re talking about psychic empaths, those of us who are extra tuned in to the feelings and emotional vibes of others. It’s a lovely gift but, while you’re born with the gift, you’re not born with the skills you need to manage it. Without those skills, psychic empathy can be an overwhelming experience.

We’ll be talking about those skills- about how to control how much psychic energy you take in, how to ground out energy you don’t want and what to do with your gift, amongst other things. We’ll also talk about the people who care about empaths and how they can support their psychic.

Workshop Spotlight: Mind-Body Connection with Selina Rifkin

Posted on Updated on

The Mind/Body Connection is Real:

How Your Gut Affects Your Mental and Emotional Health

Our mental and emotional health is dependent on our ability to be nourished by what we eat. If our digestive system is not working right, then the rest of the body, which includes the brain, doesn’t work right either. ADD/ADHD, depression, schizophrenia, anxiety, and autism spectrum are all closely related to gut health. Find out what causes gut dysbiosis and what to do about it.

Selina Rifkin, L.M.T., M.S. is a graduate of Temple University and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. In 1998 she graduated from the Downeast School of Massage in Selina RifkinMaine where she specialized in sports massage. She is licensed as a massage therapist in both Maine and Connecticut, but currently spends most of her time in Connecticut. In 2006 she completed her Masters program in Nutrition with a focus on traditional foods, and the work of Weston A. Price. In 2008, she started working for Cherry Hill Seminary and currently serves as the Assistant to the Director.

Panel Spotlight: Shamanism panel

Shamanism Going Forward PanelБэликто
What parts of the old skills and styles will be especially useful for the next 50 or 100 years? We might instantly think of the psychic and herbal healing lore which could certainly be a fascinating side of the discussion. But there’s also a face of the old shamanic ways that most Pagan folk seldom think about but most artists remember well: the shamanic performance style.

Picture being in someone’s living room, a warm friendly place, where some really brilliant, experienced people are having an animated discussion about topics on healing, divination, magic, folklore and spirituality. You can ask questions or just listen. That’s what our panels are like, not experts sitting behind a table.
Please come to the atrium to enjoy or join the conversation!

Speaker Spotlight- Lois Fitzpatrick

Posted on Updated on

Lois FLois Fitzpatrick may look comfortably like someones grandmother- but under that unpretentious exterior, you’ll find the  experience, wisdom, and knowledge that has made Crone’s so formidable throughout history.

She heads up the Soothsayers Guild in the Society for Creative Anachronism’s East Kingdom (a group that thinks that history is fun!) , and not only reads Tarot and several other forms of divination, leads her students through studies on the ethics and practicalities of giving people readings. There’s a huge difference between telling someone what to do and providing them with the tools to make their own decisions.
Over the years of Changing Times Changing Worlds she’s done workshops on Tarot Spreads and new Decks, the Minor Arcana and this year the Major Arcana, as well as other techniques such as scrying. She also participates in panel discussions.
This year she’s also organizing our merchants, showing yet another way of helping our community.
